Prescription Drug Drop Box

Prescription Drug Drop BoxThe Indian Harbour Beach Police Department has a Prescription Drug Drop Box in the lobby of the police department, located at 1835 South Patrick Drive, in Indian Harbour Beach.

The purpose of this Prescription Drug Drop Box is to provide the citizens of Indian Harbour Beach with an environmentally safe alternative to disposing of medications in the landfill or sewer system, which may later negatively affect the environment. By removing their unneeded medications or over-the-counter medicines from their homes, citizens can reduce access to addictive medications for accidental or intentional misuse by children and adults in the home. Citizens no longer have to wait for the semi-annual National Drug Take Back Program to turn in their unneeded medications. This Prescription Drug Drop Box is convenient, easy to use, and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Prescription Drug Drop Box can be used only for prescription medications. The Prescription Drug Drop Box is not intended for the disposal of liquids of any kind, aerosol cans, inhalers, needles, or thermometers. Please, no loose pills, ensure they are in a container, such as a pill bottle or ziplock bag.

Please remove all labels from the pill bottles. This ensures you can remain anonymous and protect your health information.
