The Space Coast League of Cities and Waste Management, Inc., annually co-sponsor a $2,000 scholarship for students of public administration in Florida.         Elected and appointed leadership positions (2 points)

        Work experience (2 points)

        Extracurricular activities (1 point)

Permanent resident in one of Brevard County's municipalities (1 point).

Each element is rated from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest). The score for each element is then multiplied by the number of points (1 to 5) assigned to that element.  The applicant with the highest total points is recommended to the Board of Directors and the membership for approval as the scholarship recipient.  The applicant with the next highest total is designated the alternate, to receive the scholarship if the primary recipient no longer qualifies.  The committee may recommend that no award be given if none of the applicants are sufficiently qualified.
