PROCTECT OUR INDIAN RIVER LAGOON
The City of Indian Harbour Beach realizes the importance of reminding its residents that each and every resident has a stake in the health of the Indian River Lagoon. Everything that goes into the storm drains eventually ends up in the lagoon. It is essential that all residents do their part to ensure that grass clippings, pesticides, oil, toxic solutions and other foreign matter be kept out of the storm drains.
A comprehensive recycling and environmentally sound guide for disposal and reuse of unwanted items can be found by logging on to: www.brevardcounty.us/swr . NATIONAL POLLUTANT DISCHARGE & ELIMINATION SYSTEM
Save the Indian River Lagoon by keeping pollutants out of the storm drains. All residents are tasked with doing their part to preserve this important natural resource. Chemicals and yard waste must be kept from going into the gutters that flow into the storm drains and then into the Lagoon. |
