I believe that the email below from a appreciative citizen speaks for itself.

Hi,

This morning I responded to a knock on my door from a citizen that was directed by an officer looking for a wrench. A young girl had gotten her arm caught in the spokes of her grandmother’s bicycle while on the way to school.  Sometimes officers don’t hear about the little things they do that is part of their job that may not be exciting but I for one was very impressed.  The 3 officers dispatched (the ones that I remember) were so very good and professional.  It may not seem much but I hope every one of them goes home tonight feeling good that they helped someone.  I wanted to let them know that they are appreciated and it made me proud to live in Indian Harbour Beach.  They treated that little girl like it was their own.

Thank you very much.

Jim
