How can I vote absentee?
You would need to call Brevard Service Complex 321-255-4455. They will put your information in the computer and mail you the ballots.

Refuse Collection/Recycling Information


Harris Sanitation/Waste Management provides garbage collection service on Tuesdays and Fridays. Yard waste and recyclables are collected on Mondays. All items should be placed at the curb prior to 7:00a.m on collection days. Recyclables should be sorted and placed in proper recycling bins. Recyclable items include all aluminum cans, such as soda, food and pet cans, newspapers and their shiny advertising inserts, All types of plastic bottles. Rinse aluminum, glass and plastic containers. It is not necessary to remove the labels, but throw away the caps, lids or pumps. Yard waste should be neatly stacked and limbs cut into 4-foot lengths. Loose lawn clippings, leaves and pine needles should be containerized but not put into plastic bags. Residents are reminded that proper containerization of garbage greatly enhances the ability of Harris Sanitation/Waste Management to provide quality service.

When does one need a building permit?


Permits are required for the following reasons. All new buildings, pools, AC Replacements, Sheds, Spas, fences and Driveways, Seawall installations, Pool Resurfacing, Re-Roofing, remodeling and Residential and Commercial Additions. Where do I obtain a building permit?

How do I pay a parking ticket?



Parking tickets are to be paid to the receptionist located on the second floor of City Hall. Note: Speeding and other moving violations tickets must be paid through Brevard County Courthouses.

10.
If I am planning on opening a business, what must I do?
An Occupational License application can be obtained at City Hall on the 2nd floor. After completion, the application and fee should be submitted to City Hall. Upon review by the Building Official and Fire Marshal, the City Clerk will contact the applicant to advise of approval/disapproval. In the event application is denied your fee will be returned to you. You may pick up the application at City Hall or it can be mailed to you if you desire. If there are any other documents required the City Clerk will advise you. If you have any other questions please call City Hall at 321-773-3181 and ask for the City Clerk.
